Why one router isn't enough
Thick walls, long houses and garden offices leave dead spots. Compare a single router with a planned system.
WiFi that reaches every room
A single router can struggle to cover a large house, a thick-walled cottage or an office. Signals struggle through solid brick, flint, foil-backed insulation and long extensions, leaving bedrooms, kitchens and garden offices with weak or no WiFi. Digitel UK designs and installs wired and wireless networks for homes and businesses across East Anglia, so you get a fast, reliable connection everywhere you need it. And if the problem is the broadband itself rather than the WiFi, as it often is in rural areas, Starlink can provide the connection, and we can install both.
We can install and manage your WiFi networking system, whether wireless or wired, to connect your home or business. Because we also install CCTV, alarms and door entry and smart TVs, we plan the network around everything that will connect to it.
Home WiFi and networking
Mesh WiFi systems
Mesh systems use several access points that work as one network, so your phone moves between them without dropping out. We position each point for the best coverage and, where possible, connect them by cable so speed doesn't halve with every hop.
Network cabling and data points
For smart TVs, games consoles, home offices and streaming boxes, a wired connection is faster and more reliable than WiFi. We install Cat6 cabling and data points to the rooms you choose, with a neat central switch.
Garden offices, annexes and outbuildings
Working from a garden room or running a business from a converted barn? We extend your network with buried or outdoor-rated cable, or with a point-to-point wireless link where cabling isn't practical.

Business networks
Offices, shops, surgeries, pubs and hotels need networks that stay up and keep guests separate from staff. We install structured cabling, business-grade switches and access points, and set up separate networks for staff, guests, payment terminals and security systems.
- Structured Cat6 cabling and patch panels
- Business-grade WiFi access points with central management
- Separate guest WiFi, kept apart from your business systems
- Networks for CCTV, access control and door entry
- Tidy comms cabinets with labelled connections
How we work
- Survey. We look at the building, where you need coverage, and what will connect to the network.
- Design. We recommend the right mix of cable and WiFi, with access points placed for coverage rather than convenience.
- Fixed quote. One clear price before any work starts.
- Installation and testing. We install the cabling and equipment, then test speeds and coverage in every room.
- Handover. We set up the network names and passwords and show you how to manage it.
Rural broadband and older buildings
Much of rural Suffolk, Norfolk and north Essex still relies on slower connections. Whatever connection you have, a well-designed internal network makes sure none of it is wasted on a weak WiFi signal. In period homes with thick walls, we place access points room by room and run cable discreetly to avoid damaging historic fabric.
Signs your network needs attention
- WiFi drops out in certain rooms, or when you move between floors
- Video calls freeze while someone else is streaming
- Smart TVs buffer even though your broadband should be fast enough
- Cameras, doorbells and smart devices keep going offline
- Your garden office or annexe has no usable signal
Any of these usually points to coverage or capacity problems inside the property rather than the broadband line itself. A short survey shows where the weak spots are and what will fix them.
Networks for smart homes
Modern homes have more connected devices than ever: smart TVs, speakers, thermostats, doorbells, cameras and lighting. Each needs a reliable connection. We plan networks with enough capacity for everything you own now and room to add more, and can put smart devices on their own network to keep your computers and phones separate.

Common questions

Call 0800 151 2978Will mesh WiFi fix my dead spots?
Usually. A mesh system places several access points around the home so the signal reaches every room. For the best result, the access points are linked by network cable rather than relying on wireless between them, which we can install.
Can you get WiFi to my garden office?
Yes. We can run an outdoor-rated network cable or set up a point-to-point wireless link, then fit an access point inside the building.
Do you supply the broadband?
No. Your broadband comes from your provider. We install and set up the network inside your property so you get the most from the connection you pay for.
Can you set up networks for CCTV and door entry?
Yes. Cameras, recorders and door entry systems work best on a properly planned network, and we install them together.
