TV wall mounting in Basildon

Basildon was built as a new town after the war, so much of the housing dates from the 1950s to the 1970s: terraces, maisonettes and low-rise flats, along with newer estates in Langdon Hills, Noak Bridge and on the edges of Pitsea. We mount TVs in homes of every type across the borough.

New-town houses and maisonettes

Many new-town homes have a mix of solid block walls and lightweight internal partitions. Some partitions are thin enough that a heavy TV needs a different spot, or a bracket that spreads the load. We check the wall before drilling and choose fixings rated for the TV and bracket. On block walls we can chase cables in, and on stud walls we run them inside.

Not sure which bracket? Tell an engineer your TV size and what the wall is made of, and get a straight answer with your price.

Walls and rooms we work with in Basildon

  • Plasterboard and stud walls

    The challenge
Hollow walls can't hold a heavy TV on ordinary plugs, and the studs are rarely where you want the screen.
    How we do it
We find the studs and fix into them, or use heavy-duty cavity fixings rated well above the TV's weight.
  • Flats and rented homes

    The challenge
Concrete walls, landlord rules and making good when you move out.
    How we do it
The right drill and fixings for concrete, minimal holes and advice before we drill.
  • Bedrooms and kitchens

    The challenge
Watching from bed or the worktop needs a different height and angle from the lounge.
    How we do it
Height and tilt set for how you watch in that room, often on a swing arm.
  • Moving a TV to another wall

    The challenge
Old bracket holes, an aerial point on the wrong wall and a box that needs to follow.
    How we do it
We move the bracket, fill the old holes and extend aerial, satellite or network points.

Flats and tower blocks

Flats in Basildon often have concrete walls and a communal aerial or satellite system. We drill concrete with the proper equipment and connect the TV to the communal socket. If the socket is on the wrong wall, we can extend it so there are no cables trailing across the room.

Newer estates

Homes in Langdon Hills, Noak Bridge and the newer parts of Pitsea are mostly plasterboard on studs. We fix into the studs, run cables inside the wall to a plate behind the TV, and mount the soundbar underneath.

Call 0800 151 2978
Can you mount a TV in a council or housing association flat?

Yes, as long as you have permission where your tenancy needs it. We use fixings suited to the wall and keep holes to what the bracket needs.

Do you cover Pitsea, Laindon and the areas nearby?

Yes, including Pitsea, Vange, Laindon, Langdon Hills, Noak Bridge, Billericay and Wickford.

Can you hide the cables on a solid wall?

Yes. We can chase cables into a solid wall ready for decorating, or use slim trunking painted to match the wall.
